Terms of service

This notice explains how 3DPRINTWISE LTD handles personal information for enquiries and purchases connected with 3dprintwise.shop. We are the controller for the information we use to administer our customer relationships. This notice is distinct from a payment provider's or marketplace's own privacy notice.

Who to contact

The registered office identifies the company for legal correspondence. It is not represented as a dispatch warehouse, showroom, collection point or returns depot.

Send privacy requests to support@3dprintwise.shop or write to the registered office, identifying your request as a privacy matter. Provide enough information to locate the relevant order or interaction. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details or unrelated identity documents.

Information involved in shopping and support

To deal with an enquiry or order, relevant information can include your name, contact details, delivery and billing addresses, products and quantities, order references, payment status and correspondence. Information you send about a return or complaint forms part of that support record.

Where you request personalisation, the text, design or instructions supplied are used to fulfil that request. Please provide only information necessary for the item and avoid including another person's sensitive information. A gift recipient's name and delivery details may be needed to deliver a gift; we use those details for the transaction, not as automatic permission to market to that recipient.

Technical information associated with accessing an online shop can include IP addresses, browser and device information, session identifiers and website interactions. Cookies and related technologies are explained in our Cookies Policy. The information involved depends on the service used and the relevant choices.

Purposes and legal bases

We use information necessary to answer a purchase enquiry, administer an order, deliver goods and handle contractual returns on the basis of taking steps at your request before a contract or performing that contract.

We process records necessary to meet applicable accounting, taxation, consumer and other legal obligations on the basis of compliance with those obligations. A request to erase information does not require us to destroy records that we must lawfully keep.

For proportionate fraud prevention, business security, complaint handling and the establishment or defence of legal claims, our basis can be legitimate interests where the activity is not already required by law or necessary for the contract. The relevant interests are protecting customers and the business and resolving disputes. We must consider the impact on your rights and use no more information than is necessary.

Where consent is required for a particular optional marketing or tracking activity, that activity requires your consent. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Consent to optional marketing is separate from accepting sales terms or requesting customer service.

Service providers and recipients

The Shopify platform supports the online store and relevant store functions. Shopify's handling of personal information is described in its Privacy Policy. Its role may differ between services; it can process information on a merchant's behalf and act as a controller for some purposes of its own.

Providers carrying out the payment service selected for a transaction receive information needed to process that payment and any refund. Delivery providers receive relevant recipient and address details. Services supporting business communications and record keeping receive information necessary for those functions. These categories do not mean that every provider receives every part of an order or support conversation.

Relevant records may be disclosed to professional advisers, public authorities or courts where needed for advice, a legal duty or a claim. We do not treat a customer enquiry as permission to disclose unrelated information.

Marketplace purchases and external websites

If you buy or contact a seller through Etsy, Etsy handles information under its own terms and privacy notice. Information made available to the seller for that order can be used to fulfil the transaction and respond to the enquiry. A direct-store policy does not replace Etsy's separate responsibilities.

Following an external link takes you to a separate service. Review that service's privacy notice before giving it information. A privacy choice made on one platform does not necessarily control another platform.

Marketing choices

You may object at any time to the use of your information for direct marketing, including profiling related to that marketing. Contact us through the details above. Where a marketing email is sent, you can also use its unsubscribe route. An order acknowledgement, delivery message or response to a return is a service communication rather than permission for advertising.

A minimal record of an objection may be retained to make sure it continues to be respected. Withdrawing a marketing choice does not prevent us from sending information needed to fulfil an existing order or deal with a legal duty.

Retention

We keep order and payment-status information for the time needed to fulfil the purchase, deal with applicable returns and claims, and comply with relevant record-keeping duties. Retention depends on the applicable obligation and the record's purpose; not every record needs to be kept for the same time.

Support records are retained according to the unresolved matter, any related order rights or dispute, and the need to demonstrate the outcome. Personalisation instructions and images should not be retained merely because they might be useful someday; their continued retention must serve a valid purpose.

Where marketing processing is based on consent, withdrawal ends that use, subject to keeping a limited suppression record. Device-storage lifetimes and server-side record retention are separate. You can ask us about the criteria applying to particular information.

Processing outside the United Kingdom

A UK customer or registered office does not mean that every service processes information only in the UK. Shopify explains its international arrangements in its Data Processing Addendum. Other recipients' arrangements depend on the service involved.

Where our processing involves a restricted international transfer, the applicable UK transfer requirements must be met, such as an appropriate adequacy basis or legally recognised safeguards where required. Contact us for information about the destination and relevant protection for your information, including access to safeguards where applicable. This statement does not mean every provider uses the same transfer mechanism.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction of use or a portable copy of information you supplied. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where consent is the basis. These rights have conditions and exemptions; we will explain a relevant limitation when responding.

We may request proportionate information needed to verify your identity or locate the records before disclosure. We respond within the period required by law and explain any lawful extension. You do not need to buy anything or keep an account open to exercise your rights.

If you are concerned about a decision affecting an order, contact us so the basis can be investigated. Any rights concerning legally significant automated decisions depend on the actual processing and applicable law; a failed payment attempt is not proof that you acted improperly.

Necessary and optional information

Without sufficient contact, delivery and transaction information, we may be unable to fulfil an order. Unrelated personal information is not required. Please keep private information out of photographs unless it is needed to explain your request.

A child's information should not be supplied unnecessarily in a gift message, personalisation request or enquiry. If you believe information has been provided improperly, contact us so we can assess and address the concern.

Complaints and changes

You can raise a concern with us and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. You do not have to complete our internal process before contacting the regulator.

We may revise this notice when our processing changes. A new notice does not itself authorise a new use that requires consent. Material changes will be communicated where the law requires it.
